The second half of our trip to Cali!

We spent an early morning bug hunting in California and Daddy helped us catch a praying mantis.
We kept it in a little jar and watched it for a few days.

A shot of Baba Jun and his grandsons!

Mommy and Daddy then left us with Grammie and BabaJun and went to a wedding of a good friend in New Port Beach.  Mommy met up with some close friends/teammates from college.  She had so much fun!

A shot of Mommy and Daddy at the beach at the wedding.  A fun night out and so great to get dressed up!
Back at the house, we play with Grammie and her iPad piano and games.
And when Mommy and Daddy came home for NewPort Beach, they took us to the beach.  This is our favorite memory from our trip.  We played for endless hours at the beach and had some quality family time.
Since we were told that buckets and shovels were "out of season", Mommy settled on cups and bowls for our digging equipment in the sand.
Daddy and Mommy showed us how to build sand castles
and Daddy was adventurous enough to take us into the ocean.
Kamran and Ethan dug in the sand together for hours!
A quick pic of Daddy and Kamran
 Mommy and her big boys!

Mommy holding her baby
Cheese from Kian.  He was so excited being on the beach.
And a grin from Kamran...he couldn't be happier!
Ethan being the fabulous big brother that he is, he is always willing to play with his little brother and keep him entertained.  They have so much fun together, especially wrestling.

Kian riding the wave.  Daddy was teaching him how to boogie board and he actually caught the wave!

The first half of our trip to California!

We had a blast on our trip to California.  It was so nice to get away as a family and spend some quality time together.  This was Kian and Ethan's first plane ride (that they can remember) and they behaved beautifully.  Mom and Dad were amazed at how well they listened.  We had some funny incidences in the airport (like Kian's pants falling down around his ankles in the middle of the people mover as we were running to our connecting flight) and some not so funny moments (like Kamran's multiple bowel movements that didn't stay in his diaper) but in the end, it was amazing how much quality time can really make you appreciate each other.  Kamran was like a yo-yo being passed back and forth between Mom and Dad, but in the big picture, he behaved wonderfully as well.

We spent our first day at Grammie and Baba Jun', after being picked up in style by a limo bus, relaxing around the pool, jumping in and out of the cold pool with Baba Jun and playing cars.  It was so good to see them!
The next day, Mommy and Daddy took us to DisneyLand.  Kamran stayed home with Grammie and Baba Jun and Kian and Ethan got more quality time with Mom and Dad.  Again, the boys were so well behaved we spent over 8 hours at the theme parks.

A quick family shot before we entered.  Can you tell we are super excited?!
Daddy and the boys walking in to the park...
On one of the spinning teacup rides all together!
Our first character photo...we LOVE Pluto!
We walked around the park forever trying to find Mickey...and we found him!

After a long morning in Disneyland we went to California Adventure land to see Bugs Life and Cars theme parks and rides. It was soooo much fun!!

Maybe a little scared of Flick??
And the moment we've waited for...we got to meet Lightening McQueen!!
 Hugs with Donald!

A great long awaited trip to Disneyland.  More California adventures to come!!

A busy Summer

We can't believe summer is coming to a close. We have had SOOOOOO much fun and been so busy. The fall looks like it will continue to be just as busy, however, hopefully much cooler!! We went with the Frey Family to Kansas City and stayed at Great Wolfe Lodge. We had a quick, but super time. We went for a couple reasons...just to have fun with our cousins, but also so Mommy and Daddy could pick up our cousins so they could stay at our house for an entire WEEK!!
A group shot before getting in the pool for the first time.  Poor daddy was so sick.  He got food poisoning the night before, but he sure was a trooper.

Daddy and Maris eating at T-Rex

The mischievous foursome...don't go far...likely to be one of them getting in to trouble!!

Kian and Ethan started a real pre-K program at a local private school.  They are only going 2 full days per week, but they are thriving and enjoying every day.  The days they don't go, they wake up and beg us to "Please...can I go to school today?"

Kamran got his first official haircut  August 23rd, 2012.  A before shot...

And an after shot of this handsome dude!!  He needed it very much.  No more shaggy hair for our cute little boy!

Kamran turned 9 months old.  Crazy how these past 9 months have flown by.  We haven't had our 9 month check up to give you his vital stats, but I'm sure is up there on the charts.  He's crawling like a speed racer, he's pulling up.  He is even walking behind his walker and occasionally, he lets go and stands by himself.  Mommy and Daddy say he'll be walking by 11 months. We shall see!!

Outside playing after school...with our new soccer cleats!

Mommy and Daddy took some time to take us all to the zoo.  We enjoyed the family time together, however, the heat got to us quickly and we left shortly after we got there.

Smile Kian!!

Smile, Ethan!

Ethan and Kian finally spent all their gift cards they have collected from the last couple years from their birthday and Christmas and bought a new...

BIKE!!!

We LOVE our new BIKES!!

Kamran is sharing in the enthusiasm of the new bikes by picking flowers and eating them...while enjoying the view of the crashes and wipe outs!

Daddy helping Kian and Ethan pedal and steer.  By now...18 hours later...they are PROS at biking.
Welcome Fall...Welcome September... for new adventures!
