Mid-Summer fun!

As we prepare to go back to school, we think back of the fun we have had this summer.  We started another season of basketball and have made MAJOR improvements.  In fact, we are the only two that score baskets for our team.  We've become aggressive (in a good way) and we go after the ball.  We've even started understanding the concept of dribbling and running at the same time.

Its hard to get action shots of the boys without other teammates in the shots and keep one eye on Kamran as he runs around the gym.  But, here's an action shot Ethan dribbling.

We took a midsummer relaxing get-a-way to the lakes of Minnesota.  We had so much fun experiencing new things.  Fishing, wiener roasts, swimming, tubing, camping out, tractor rides and much more.  Here's a snapshot of our week trip that was a much needed vacation for everybody.

Daddy is 'manning' this dock with all the cousins fishing, along with a little help from Grandma, while Mommy was in charge of the other dock.

Daddy riding with Kian on his first trip around the lake behind the boat

Our first official wiener roast with our cousins.  More roasting was done than eating that night and a few burnt hot dogs hit the fire as well!

Kamran enjoying the end results of his brother's hard roasting!

Boat rides were a must for the 5 musketeers!  Watching the wake behind the boat and planning their next adventures and trouble making!

Digging worms with Poppa.  We had to find the bait in order to feed the fish!

Kamran is wondering what those wiggly pink things are in the bucket...duh????

Our first big catch with the worms we found.  Ethan is sooo proud of his catch!

One of Kian's proudest moments.  He asks all the time when we can go fishing again.

While Kian and Ethan fished, Kamran took over the duties of driving the boat to the hot fishing spots.  After all, he has to be involved with EVERYTHING his big brothers do.  So, if not with a fishing rod, he was going after the 'big ones' somehow!

Kian and Ethan brave enough to ride together without Mom or Dad

Ethan 'skiing' on the ski trainer.  A little bit scared at first, but he ended up LOVING it!

Kian liking skiing as well

Even Kamran got his turn behind the boat!  Not sure who had more fun, Mommy or Kamran?!

Grandpa giving tractor rides and letting the boys drive the tractor

A couple of weekends after returning home, we went to a water park with friends.

Kian and Kamran enjoying some quiet time on the couch.  Not a likely scene at our house.  Kian usually is too busy to sit down so Kamran gravitates to Ethan.

Enjoying our bubble machine.  Yay for bubbles and cheap thrills!

Kian and Ethan start their "big boy" school.  Elementary school pre-k.  They are super excited.  Kamran with go to a church 2 year old program part time.  And yes, our nanny will be busy driving back and forth and enjoying a few hours of quiet time every week.

Daddy is doing well.  Loving his job, and Mommy loves his job even more now that he is able to spend a little more time at home.  Mommy is well too!

A quick visit from our California Family

Grammie and Buba Jun arrived from California to visit us!  We had so much fun and so thankful they came.

Grammie spent some time playing with Kamran

Baba Jun went outside to play soccer with his boys and was shocked to see the littlest one was able to dribble

Playing "horsey" on Baba Jun's lap make Kamran all smiles!

Cheesy with Baba Jun inbetween mouthfuls of food

A picture with the older boys.  We love our Grammie and Baba Jun!
Thank you for the wonderful visit.  We wish we could see you more.  Maybe a move to OK in your future??!!  Can't wait to see you again!

Easter and 1st Tball game

Whirl wind of the last few weeks with many events.  We took some time for quality family time on Easter weekend.  We went to church, had a delicious brunch, and then gather the eggs that the Easter bunny had left for us.

A picture of Kamran before church, excited about his choo choo train!
 Cheesey before church for everybody!

Mommy and her boy...seems as if he's becoming more of a momma's boy as he gets older...is that possible??
Our Easter egg hunt...lots of eggs...lots of candy!

Pictures from our first Tball game.  We had SOOO much fun!!  Both Ethan and Kian had good hits and they even fielded the ball well.

Spring Update

A long overdue update.  A crazy busy Spring.  We've had a few nice days so that we could get outside.  One Saturday we took a trip to the zoo.  It seems as if we take a lot of trips to the zoo.  The boys love going and we figure its good family time and we can get outside.

Here we are posing in the petting zoo.  We may be more interested in climbing the big tree than the animals.  At least the older two are, but Kamran loved the goats until he was knocked over.

Hugs with Mommy at the zoo!
The infamous ball jumpy where Mom swears we picked up the stomach bug as Kamran put some of the balls in his mouth.  2 days later, he and the Nanny got sick and then it trickled down after to the rest of the family.  It was a miserable 2 weeks, but thankfully, Gramma and Poppa shared in some of the joys and were able to relieve Mommy and Daddy and took care of the sick kids.
Grandma and Poppa's trip was planned so that our Nanny could take a vacation.  They were able to spend some quality time with the boys as Mom and Dad went to work.

All three boys on the mend...slowly but surely!
Our happy Kamran.  Always smiling!
The boys have started Tball and they absolutely LOVE it. We think its the first sport we are going to really excel at.  They are excited to go and are really good.  We are finishing up the quarter at school and looking forward to summer break.  Kamran is starting to talk and is always happy.  He enjoys trying to keep up with his big brothers and his favorite activity is wrestling with his big brothers.

Staying busy is an understatement at the Madjids.  We wouldn't have it any other way!  Hoping for warm weather so we can get outside more.  We are stir crazy.  We have some fun Spring/Summer stuff planned.  Until next time...

Busy November/December

We've had a very busy November and December with family and festivities. It started with Thanksgiving and our cousins and Auntie staying for a week in November and then Christmas early December and we are still celebrating!
The kids LOVE hanging out together.  They get along well and enjoy the change of pace with the different families.

Thanksgiving dinner at the kids table.  So many different ages and personalities!
Uncle Steve with Sofie's hat on me.  Christmas is coming!!

Playing in the fall leaves that Mommy and Daddy were trying to rake up. They were way more fun to jump in then help put in a bag!
Hi Mommy!!

Our annual Christmas tree hunting at the tree farm in Owasso.  Kian stops to say cheese with Santa!

I think we have found the perfect Christmas tree.  Now all we need is a saw...and another kid to help cut it down.  Or...we just ask the nice people to load it up for us!

Decorating the Christmas tree after we get home the next evening...

Gramma and Poppa arrive to celebrate Xmas

Our new sandbox thanks to Auntie Buffy and Uncle Steve!

Daddy playing on our new computers with us!

Wrestling with Pappa.  We were going to enroll in wrestling this year, however, it was a huge time commitment being 3 nights a week and over an hour per practice.  We're not sure we can be in one place that long, let alone listen to a coach for that much time!

Celebrating our 4th birthday

Pictures from our bowling birthday party.  So much FUN!!
