"Auntie" Amber came to play!

That's right..."Auntie" Amber came all the way from San Diego to see the boys. She stayed for an extended weekend and got her fill of kids for the next 20 years! She was able to experience her first diaper change which master Ethan made sure it was a real disaster with poop all over including the walls!

Here's Kian experiencing his new jump-a-roo and loving it!

Ethan and Amber made up and were friends again after the diaper change!

Here we are 'chillin' and ready for an outdoor bar-b-que!

"Auntie" Amber is hogging all the food. A spoonful for Ethan and 2 spoonfuls for Amber. How rude??!!

A great time had by all. Amber couldn't wait to go home on Sunday morning!!

Green beans?

Mom & Dad started us on our very first food today. We skipped the rice (except for a few times) and moved straight to our vegetables.

Can you tell who liked green beans and who didn't?????

Yes, that face meant he HATED the green beans! With every spoonful Dad gave him, he gagged! Ethan, on the other hand, couldn't make the spoon shovel fast enough into his mouth. He ate the entire container during his first feeding! Way to go boys!!

Surgery went well!

Ethan had his first surgery (hopefully the last one for many years) to repair his umbilical hernia on Friday. All went well. He's at home recovering. He's a bit sore and sleeps a lot, but otherwise doing better than Mom & Dad expected.

Mom got a whole bunch of compliments on how cute he was at the children's hospital. Everyone volunteered to take him home with them. There's nothing in the world anybody could offer Mom to convince her to do that! Kian spent the day with "Auntie" Stacey and they went shopping while waiting for Mom & Ethan to return home.

Here we are before surgery after changing into our hospital gown.

Here we are waiting for hours to get in for surgery- and on an empty belly too!

Here's brother- harassing me the day before surgery!

Has it been that long already???

That's right... we're 6 months old!! Can you believe it already??? We're moving along on our developmental tasks. We're cooing and talking to each other. We've found our hands and bring them to our mouths to suck on our fingers often. Kian is rolling over from tummy to back and working on back to tummy. Ethan just lays there screaming! Of course, we're smiling socially and giving mom and dad the pearly gums when they pick us up in the morning. We're still working on our sleeping schedules but have routinely been going to bed between 6:30 and 7:30pm for quite a while. Depending on our caloric intake during the day depends on when we decide to wake up and see Mom and Dad during the night.

Ethan weighed in at a whopping 16lb 8.1oz and 25inches long. He's shorter and bulkier.

Kian weighed in at 15lbs 6.8oz and is 25.5 inches long. We're longer and leaner!

Together we're growing more aware of each other daily. We love our Mom and Dad! Unfortunately, our babysitter up and quit without notice last week and Mom and Dad have been scrambling to get things figured out. Mom would love to stay home full time, but also loves her job too much. She says she has the best of both worlds because she can get out and about 2 days out of every week but I'm sure she still misses us during those 2 days.

We're thankful for 6 months of great health and look forward to many more months and years!! Thanks for all your prayers and support. We love you!

More family in town!

Grandma and Grandpa Leuer came to town to visit. We enjoyed seeing them and they helped Mom and Dad pour cement for their new back patio. Wow---Dad said that was a lot of work and he'll never do it again!

Uncle Steve and Auntie Buffy also came to visit us. They brought along our cousins Maris and Tiffany too!

Another fun weekend with family!
