A busy summer

A long time coming...an update on the summer events from the Madjid residence. We've had so much fun, we've been too busy to realize how hot it was. We enjoyed a Independence day gathering with great friends. The boys got to shoot off their first fireworks with some old classmates and friends.

Kamran got his first hair cut.  Really, it was a hair ear trim.  Mom won't let him have his first real haircut until he turns 1 year old.  'Nana' is an expert at cutting hair.  Nana is our nanny's mother.  She comes over to visit every once in a while.  Since we have a "Grammie" and a "Gramma", the boys get to call her 'Nana'.

Some of Mommy's favorite time of the day is bath time with Kamran.  It's the one on one time she gets to spend with her baby boy.

Kamran turns 8 months old!!

He's doing lots of fun stuff.  He started creeping a few weeks ago.  His favorite word (and only word) is Ma ma Ma ma.  He started pulling up on things last week when the nanny found him standing in his crib after nap.  He has advanced from baby food to eating solids like cheerios. He smiles and laughs nonstop and loves chasing and following his brothers around the house.

Here's a cute video of Daddy making Kamran laugh.  Soooo cute!!!

Our first basketball game

We started basketball last week.  We are having a lot of fun and like to participate way more than we did at soccer.
Both boys played very well.  They both got scared of the buzzer and put their hands over their ears.
Ethan only got hit in the face two times and Kian tripped quite a few times, but in the end,
everybody left for home with a smile on our face and were willing to go back for practice the next week.
And the double bonus???  Everybody was asleep in less than 8 minutes after crawling in to bed for nap.  Mommy came out a winner then!!

Weekend with cousins

We spent a fantastic weekend with cousins in Omaha, Nebraska. We had so much fun that it was very hard to leave. However, Mom and Dad promise that it will happen again sometime soon and we even heard a rumor that our cousins were going to come and stay with us for a week at the end of the summer!!

Here's a picture of Kamran and Mommy snuggling and enjoying each other on a lazy Saturday afternoon!

A cool moment splishing and splashing in the water with my cousin, Sofie

Auntie Buffy and Uncle Steve have the PERFECT yard for a slip and slide.  Its all down hill in the back yard.  We can pick up some serious speed on the way down!

Some more slippin'

Worn out, but unwilling to give up and go to bed.  We found him snuggled in the hallway with all of his George's asleep at 10 oclock at night.  He's lucky Mommy didn't accidently step on him during Kamran's mid-night feeding.

Happy Kamran.  Full of smiles and full of laughter and life.

Kamran is 6 months old!

Kamran is 6 months old! Unbelievable how time has flown by. He is hitting the typical six month milestones like: rolling over, sitting supported, blowing raspberries, cooing, putting everything in his mouth, rocking on all fours, and starting to teeth.  We are predicting he will be left-handed just like his brother, Kian, and just like his Mommy should have been.  But only a prediction.  We are still enjoying every minute of his mild manners and he has even started cooing himself to sleep and not crying.  He's scheduled more and more every day making it easier to keep his big brothers entertained and organized.  However, he LOVES his naps and foods and don't try to skip one...or else!!!!

Kian is posing with his brother

Ethan staring at the TV...and trying to ignore Mom!

Another shot of Kamran loving life.  He LOVES his baths and enjoys splishing and splashing.  Its his one-on-one time with Mom or Dad in the evenings before his 6:30 bedtime.

We introduced food for the first time this weekend and he's a pro!  He's been watching us put things in our mouths and trying to mimic us, so as much as we'd like to keep him a baby forever, we decided now was better than ever!!  And boy...did he enjoy his rice cereal!

Second thoughts on that spoonful of green beans????

We've had a wonderful spring in Oklahoma. The weather has been beautiful and we've spent numerous nights outside enjoying the weather and playing. We still enjoy getting up really early in the morning. Most mornings, we crawl in bed with Mommy and Daddy, but a few mornings, we let them sleep and we turn our cartoons on in the living room and just watch TV. They caught us this morning...

Mud is our favorite activity this spring and Mom and Dad's yard has plenty of it.  This day, Mom let us specifically put on our 'muddin' clothes and we got to splash around in the mud like little piggies!

Uncle Andy came to visit us.  We LOVED hanging out with him and we think he enjoyed meeting his newest nephew too.

An adventure took Mom and Kamran to Minnesota.  Mom sure was gutsy taking him on the plane, but, of course, he was an angel and slept the entire plane ride both ways.  Grandma and Poppa did some babysitting while Mommy took care of some business for a weekend and they fell in love all over again with their grandson!

Mom and Kamran visited with Uncle Jeremy and Auntie Lauren, cousin Jason and our newest 'Leuer' family member, cousin Brandon.  We enjoyed playing and rolling on the floor together.

A blessed day!

Our beautiful miracle baby was baptized today. It's official! He has great Godparents too! 'Auntie' Nikki and 'Uncle' Bret have promised to guide him spiritually for the rest of his life!

Our great friend, Natascha, was there to witness the baptism. She's been great support and wonderful help to Mommy and Daddy. She LOVES the boys and will babysit every once in a while to help Mom and Dad stay sane.

Holding on to Nikki for dear life...as if he knew he was about to get dunked in the water!
And the official baptism...not a tear was shed. Just giggled with the water splashing on his head.
Our candle...
A quick family photo
Kamran and his delicious cake...too bad he couldn't taste it! We ate enough for him so we could be sure to tell him all about it!
He's truly a blessing and our little miracle baby. Can't believe he hit 5 months old. 1 year ago Mommy was in the hospital with a life threatening condition and baby 'Rito', AKA Kamran, was no bigger than a peanut. Today, he's hit 20lbs and laughs non stop. We are very blessed with all 3 boys. We couldn't imagine life any other way!

March and April!

The weather has beautiful here in Oklahoma and we've been out and about enjoying the heat. We are a bit afraid of what the summer has in store for us, but unlikely it can be hotter than last year...and Mom is not pregnant so it can't be worse!

We spend the majority of the hours outside from digging in the dirt to eating snacks.
A quick 'cheese' with our cheeze-its and water
Kamran is outside enjoying the weather as well.
Our first organized athletic event. Soccer at the YMCA. Yes, Daddy was roped into assistant coaching. Although he will tell you he didn't want to, we secretly think he LOVES it.
Kian and Ethan on the other hand, are not always so crazy about it. Kian spent the first game following the ref around trying to blow her whistle...
And he actually got out on the field, and accidentally scored a goal. He happened to be at the right place at the right time...and kicked!!
And this is where Ethan preferred to spend his time during the soccer game.
Kamran is still the most content, quiet baby ever. He only cries when he's tired and hungry and most of the time, we know when that's coming so we are able to head that off.
Easter holiday brought great treats and wonderful events. We made Easter cookies with Mom on Friday afternoon. Best part about making the cookies was eating them right out of the oven with a cold glass of milk...yummmm!!
Saturday morning we spent some time coloring our Easter eggs. We enjoyed every minute of it.
The Easter bunny hid so many eggs that Daddy had to help us find them. We LOVED it!
Uncle Bret and Auntie Nikki came over for Easter brunch and they bought us fishing poles! We've been begging Mom and Dad to take us fishing and now we don't have any excuses...Uncle Bret promises to take us to the pond.
Every spare minute we have we've spent it landscaping and getting the yard in shape. We let it go last year do to the recent move, the heat, and Mommy's pregnancy so we have a lot of catching up to do. So far, they have torn out the front and the back and planted bulbs off the patio. There is a lot more to do, however it takes many days when all you have is nap time to get work done!
We are looking forward to a wonderful rest of the spring and summer. No big plans, just spending time at home as a family. We are still at home with the Nanny, whom we really love and enjoy but we are getting a little stir crazy at times.
