3 MONTHS OLD!

These past few months have flown by. Mom and Dad got to talking today and it seems like Kamran shouldn't be 3 months old yet, however, it feels like forever ago that he was born.

He is smiling more than ever and laughing a little. Not that full belly laugh, but more of a sly laugh. Mom says Kamran is the calmest, most laid back baby in the world. She wonders how a child such as this could be related to her...must have gotten his daddy's genes.

We've been fighting RSV and this picture was taken in the midst of the fight. The older boys are slowly coming out of the illness, and Kamran is just in the middle...and he still finds time to laugh and smile for Mommy.

We are gaining weight without difficulties. He LOVES his milk. You can see all those rolls...cute and chubby! He is sleeping well. Usually from 7:30-8AM with 1-2 feedings per night. It is no where near the difficulty of my older brothers' nightly feedings so it ends up being snuggle time for both Mommy and Kamran.

We went to our friend, Bella's, birthday party. We had so much fun in the pool. We can't WAIT for summer to be here so that we can go swimming everyday!

Kian and Ethan had their first sleep-over last night. Well...it was more like a 'play-over'. Mom and Dad went out with our friend, Davis' Mom and Dad and they left all 4 boys with a baby sitter. Please believe that only 2 of the four boys were asleep when Mom and Dad arrived home at 11:30.

Kian and Ethan are also becoming GREAT big brothers. Kian especially has really taken on his role of big brother and watching out for him and is a very good helper. Ethan still loves his brother...sometime loves hugging him too much!

We've had some major changes at the house. Grammie went home after spending a month helping Mom and Dad around the house and being a fabulous care taker for Kamran. Kian and Ethan stopped going to daycare and we have hired a Nanny. More info about 'Mrs. Courtney' will follow. So far, we've just been getting to know one another and its working out well.

Another great few weeks have gone by. We're busy as always especially now that Mom has returned to work. We're figuring out how to be a family of 5 with a newborn. We've forgotten how much time it takes to care for a newborn...

Ethan still really enjoys his baby brother. He wants to snuggle, hug, hold and kiss his baby 'bo bo' all the time. Here's Daddy, Ethan and Kamran all sitting on the couch together.

KAMRAN is 2 MONTHS OLD!!

Crazy how time flies! He went from being in the 20%tile in height and weight to the 92%tile. He's not missing many meals and loves his milk!!

We went to one of our friends' birthday party and we were able to ride horses. Ethan had so much fun!! It was a great event! Kian was not so interested in horses. Instead, he was outside running around.

Thank the Lord for Grammie. Grammie has been staying with us during our transition of Mommy going back to work and while we figure out where Kamran will go during the days. She is Kamran's favorite buddy and Mommy and Daddy's biggest help. We are so thankful for her!

Grandma & Poppa went with us to the Christmas train. We had so much fun yelling "choo choo" all night!! Here's a quick pic after boarding the train. We even got to ride the elf train after we were done. Soo much fun!!

We've had a busy month since Kamran was born. It's been fun month and full of new, exciting adventures. He's been such a blessing. He's eating, sleeping and cooing. He's gaining weight like he's supposed to and Grandma even got him sleeping in his own bed. HUGE accomplishment and a WONDERFUL night sleep is had by all. Thank you, Grandma!

One of our awake, alert moments. Kamran has been such an easy, calm, relaxed baby. We can't believe people can complain about having a single baby at home!

Our first week at home was exciting and relaxing. Daddy was able to take some extra time off to spend with us unlike when Kian and Ethan came home.

We've had a relaxing 48 hours in the hospital and we're working on going home. We had some great visitors, thanks to all who came to see us!

We started preparing for Halloween today with some pumpkin carving and pumpkin drawing. We had fun deciding which pumpkins should have happy faces and which ones should have scary faces.

The easiest way to decide was to let everyone have their own. Here we are drawing our faces on our little pumpkins.

We are helping Mommy and Daddy separate the pumpkin guts from the edible seeds. Kiki is not such a big fan of those pumpkin guts...his face says it all!

We're watching Daddy make his "crazy face" on his pumpkin. We can't wait to light the jack-o-lanterns and see them glow!!

Grandma and Poppa stopped by for a quick visit in October to bring Mommy and Daddy some stuff from MN. Grandma and Poppa have retired and now live at the "cabin" so we should see them much more as they travel around the country.

We spent an extended weekend with Grammie, Bubba Jun and Uncle Andy for Daddy's big 3-0 birthday. It was soooo good to see them and we loved playing with them!!

Daddy enjoys cooking and grilling so one of his requests was to smoke some ribs on his birthday. We love watching Daddy cook. Maybe someday we'll grow up and cook as good as Daddy does!

Another long break in the blogging area, however no breaks in action in the Madjid household. We're busy trying to get our house in order from the move and the boys are busy exploring and learning and being terrible 2 year olds!!

Over Labor Day weekend, we had one of our friend's from school over. We had lots of fun! Sharing toys was our most favorite event!

July trip to MN

We took a speed trip to Minnesota for the 4th of July. We had a great time, but it was way too short. We spent 2 full days of watching videos in the car to only be in MN for 3 days. But, it was way too much fun! We spent some quick quality time with Grandma and Poppa and cousin Jason and Auntie Lauren and Uncle Jeremy.

Jason and I are sharing cars nicely on Grandma's road. Jason was so nice to bring some cars for us to play with. Thank you, Jason!

Jason even brought his Gator to take us on rides. They were bumpy rides followed by a few crashes into some trees, but we laughed all the way around the cabin!

Kiki wasn't so sure about Jason's driving skills...

Poppa taught us how and took us fishing. We caught lots of sun fish. 'Auntie' Shelly helped take Kiki's fish off and Poppa took Ethan's fish off.

We even roasted marshmallows for S'mores with Grandma, 'Auntie Shelly' and Great Aunt Benitia! Yummy, yummy!!!!

And a splash party in the back yard. Of course, we got in the lake, but the pool was more fun because we could see the bottom.

And the evening before we left, Poppa took us on a tractor/wagon ride around the front yard!

Thank you, Grandma and Poppa for letting us come to visit and especially Grandma who flew down just to drive up with Mommy and us.

And on a different note....we must announce....

WE'RE GONNA BE BIG BROTHERS IN NOVEMBER!!! stay tuned!!

April and May for the Madjids

Months have past, and Mommy has still been really bad about blogging. So much has gone on that it's hard to recall all of our events. Mom and Dad sold our old house and moved in April. Uncle cAndy came and stayed with us for a short bit. Thank goodness for uncle Andy, he helped Daddy pack and move boxes. He also got to spend some quality time with us so that made it special. We spent a lot of time playing on our swing set.

Easter came and Auntie Buffy and Uncle Steve came to celebrate the Easter Bunny's arrival. We spent an entire weekend playing with our cousins, Maris and Tiffany. We went on an egg hunt and we got to ride on a school bus. School buses are our FAVORITE. We pick out every school bus we see every morning on our way to daycare/school.

We got home from the egg drop and Mom had made us some eggs so we had the chance to dye some eggs to hide for the Easter bunny in the morning. We had more fun dying our fingers than we did dying the eggs.

Our new neighborhood has a pond with a park at the entrance. We LOVE going to the park to feed the ducks. Here we are on our way to meet the ducks. Mommy couldn't help but take this picture...don't we look like our father's son's. That's cute...huh??

While Mom was away on 'cation with Auntie Amber' for her wedding in San Diego, we came up with a new game with Daddy. We had so much fun over the week, we didn't even notice that Mommy was gone until she came home on Sunday.

The adjustment to the new home went well for all. Thank goodness we had help for the move as Mommy was in the hospital for an emergency surgery. She is better now, but she's still trying to get the house organized to her liking! 2 days ago, we also became really BIG boys as we moved to BIG BOY BEDS! The transition has been amazing. No falling out of bed, no getting out, no stalling and game playing. We love our new beds!

A little vacation from blogging never hurt anyone, but Mommy promises to be back and keep everyone up to speed with the latest events as best as possible!

It's finally spring time in Oklahoma and we are trying to get out of the house to enjoy the weather. We've had to be out of the house more than normal lately because Mom and Dad decided to put the house on the market and move. They're not sure where we are all going yet, but they better hurry because our house was sold last night!!

Ethan is not so excited about playing outdoors. He's one that likes to stay indoors, loves his Cars Movie, his Woody Buzz movie, and playing by himself with his toy cars and trucks. His language is very understandable, but his 'bull-headedness' makes him very hard to handle at times. Guess where he gets that from??

Kian, on the other hand, LOVES being outside, exploring and getting dirty. He follows directions quite well and is starting to jabber a lot, but it's difficult to understand him. Kian is our guy that just 'goes with the flow'.
A day at the zoo, Ethan is inside the petting zoo. He's loving being surrounded by all those sheep and goats.

If you can' find Kian, he's probably outside swinging on his 'weeeee'. He has figured out how to move it himself and will sit on it for minutes at a time. He LOVES it!

Many changes in the Madjid household, including once again, a change in daycare situations. Hoping we know our kids best, we have decided to take them out of our current daycare. As plans continue to evolve, we will keep you updated on where we're at!!

Saturday Snowday!

So, we've been out of school since last Tuesday, buried in at least 20 inches of snow with another 3-6 inches left to drop. There is no sight of school re-opening in the near future. So, for now, we are at home, stuck inside, and nowhere to go. We've been having a lot of fun, however we're getting on each other's nerves!!

We've enjoyed our yummy meals of 'snow on a plate'. 'Auntie Nikki' from next door told us not to eat the yellow flavored snow over in her yard so we stay over on ours!

Kiki's usual after bath parade in his towel. Don't worry, he does have a diaper on! Kiki had his first successful 'peepee in the potty' the other night. He was super excited about his accomplishment and even asked to call grandma to tell her right after it happened! Since then, Ethan has had one successful bathroom trip but Mommy and Daddy are sure not pushing us. When we're ready, we tell them. We do have a lot of fun just sitting on the potty!

OUR BOYS ARE BACK!!

We know, this is a long awaited posting. Life has been crazy busy since our last post and Mommy is so sorry that this wasn't done sooner!

We had an extraordinary Christmas. It was complete with Grammie, Baba Jun and Uncle cAndy coming to visit. Santa was very nice to us...too nice. So nice we've had to get rid of some of our other toys because Mom says her house has just run out of room!!

January started off great. An uneventful New Year until RSV combined with horrible ear infections took us down. The past 2 years we've received RSV shots to combat that horrible illness because we were preemies, but this year, we had to fight it off on our own. Unfortunately, RSV won...but just for a week. We're still recovering, but we did go back to school on Tuesday of this week.

Mommy knew her boys were back when they spent the majority of the day in 'time-out' and getting in to trouble.

To be off school for a week at home recovering, we got back to school and then we got a SNOW day! Yay for snow!!

Mommy and Daddy weren't too excited about it but we were pumped. We were able to hang out with Daddy and 'Uncle' Bret in the snow and throw snowballs and make snowman and angels. So much fun!

Yay for our health! Yay for snow! Now its time to warm up so we can get outside and play!

It's true!! Two wonderful years ago, Mommy and Daddy welcomed us into the world. Scared to death, not knowing what their premature little 2lb boys would look like and the quality of life they would live. Amazing growth, amazing boys. 2 of the BEST years of their lives. You would never imagine what we really looked like 2 years ago!

We had an extraordinary holiday weekend with family and friends. We learned a lot about four 2year olds under the same roof for 4 days straight. A lot of fun, a lot of 'time-outs', a lot of 'NOs', some crying, lots of laughing, and A LOT of play time. So much fun...can we do it again next weekend???

Sharing our latest and greatest toy with our cousins. It was so unseasonable cold on Thanksgiving we had to bundle up and were only allowed to be out for 15-20 minutes max. Mommy and Daddy got cold before we were so we had to go inside...wimps???

One of our new favorite activities is playing on the "Weeeee" (No, Mommy didn't mispell it for the 'Wii'). With every swing back and forth, one of us yells..."WEEEEEE!" It's so much fun and something we can do together without fighting. Although, we do get upset when it slows down or stops moving.

We're enjoying our new Christmas present early. Thanks to 'Uncle' Bret and Daddy for taking a couple days out of their busy schedules to construct our latest toy. It's much needed entertainment in the back yard.
We've each only taken a few spills off the top! But, we're resilient little buggers and we hop right up. We heard Mommy saying to Daddy that she bets we won't even make a month before ending up in the ER for broken bones. We hope to prove her wrong!! But...we are ALL BOY!! The more danger, the better!

We had so much fun for the spooky holiday! Not only did we get to spend the weekend alone with Grandma, but Mom and Dad let us go out and trick or treat!! Grandma didn't make us go to school, but she did, however, take us to school for our Halloween party and then bring us home. We got away with a lot of stuff. After all... GRANDMAs are way better than Mommys and Daddys. They always say yes!

Our neighbors, 'Uncle' Bret and 'Auntie' Nikki, asked us if we wanted to go find the perfect pumpkin for Halloween. We were ecstatic to go around and pick up those orange balls with handles! It was sooo much fun!

We are finally all healed from surgery and WOW... it's been amazing to see the changes. After we recovered, Mom & Dad have noticed a tremendous increase in the number of words we say and better enunciation of all our words. Our latest new word is "MOON". Mom took us outside to look at the 'lights' tonight and the MOON was the brightest light of all! We are 100% sure we made the right decision to go ahead with the ear tubes and adnoidectomy. It has made a world of difference.

Daddy played 'single Daddy' for almost an entire week while Mom traveled to Philadelphia for a work trip. Boy...was he exhausted by the time Mommy got home! We kept him running! It was 'boys day' for a few days in a row!

Now its Mommy's turn to play 'single Mommy' while Daddy is out of town for a week in Kansas City. So far, we have behaved ourselves, but its only the beginning of the week! I think Mom and Dad have a new appreciation for the amount of work each does raising us cute little boys!

We took school pictures a few weeks ago and we sure do look handsome!! We even have a few snapshots grinning! If you'd like to see more poses, just let Mommy know. She has the website information and passwords to check us out.

Fair and Surgery Day!

We took some time out of our busy Saturday to go to the fair. We had so much fun!! Our favorite was the petting zoo (as you can see our hands in cage) and we actually saw a real cow MOOOOOOing. We giggled forever at that silly cow getting all pretty-ed up to be shown at the fair and mooing the whole time.

Surgery Day for the Madjid boys. Hoping this will end all those ear infections and help with our speech. We got ear tubes and our adenoids removed.

Lots of illness, lost camera, and busy schedules are our excuse for not posting in a long time. Daddy surprised Mommy for a big 30th Birthday weekend to a weekend get-a-way at quiet lodge in OK. It wasn't very quiet after the whole clan got there. Our neighbors, 'Uncle' Bret and 'Auntie' Nikki were there, Auntie Buffy and Uncle Steve and cousins from Nebraska came, and Grandma and Grandpa from MN flew in just to celebrate Mommy and Daddy's birthdays! A huge cackling crew! What a FANTASTIC surprise!

Uhhh ohhh is RIGHT!! Sunday afternoon, helping Daddy put away groceries and I (Ethan) decided I needed crackers NOW!!

No waiting for Daddy or Mommy's help! So, I helped myself to the open bag of Doritos and instead of grabbing one chip at a time, I grabbed the bottom of the bag and started waving the bag in the air. Nobody paid attention to me until they saw the chips on the ground and then everyone ran towards me. Silly Mommy and Daddy...I just wanted some chips!! Good thing Mom is not a germ-o-phobe- she let us eat all the crumbs off the floor until we were stuffed!! No more Doritos for us for a while!

Mom bought us some cool new bath time finger paints. We had a blast splish splashin' once again. Could bath time get anymore fun??

Mom should know by now that when I'm quiet, I'm probably getting in to trouble. I'm that quiet one that you would never expect to be a trouble maker but can get into mischief very easily. I found the "ish crackers" in our diaper bag and decided I would rip apart the bag and Zio and I would have ourselves a snack on the floor. You see in the picture that all that is left are our crumbs on the floor. Guilty face?? I think not!

Summer months are coming to a close but its still hotter then ever here. We're exploring new things and learning to do new things too!

Our first experience with a real sprinkler...both were super excited to see what it was all about!

Learning to share our toys, our space and our fun times together. The space part didn't last long (as you can see Ethan getting ansy) but we can do it for a few seconds at least!!

Eating popsicles outside and sharing it with Daddy! Yay for us!!

Learning to eat cereal with a spoon before dumping the milk all over the floor! That is still our favorite activity to watch Mommy get soooo mad at us!!

Sharing our fish snacks at the pool with our friends...not a "MINE" in our vocabulary. At least not yet!!

We've even got down the 2 step commands like - go get your shoes and bring them to Mom!

Before you know it, we'll be smart enough to go to kindergarten!!

The August sun is heating us up here at the Madjid household. We've been stuck indoors most days because its too hot to go outside. Even the pools here feel like hot tubs so those aren't even fun. The boys have so much energy to burn Mom and Dad have taken them to McDonald's just to burn energy on their indoor play land.

Daddy has gotten the boys interested in "cool dudes" which are sun glasses and hats. Here's Ethan trying on Mommy's "cool dudes" and smirking for the camera!!

One of the rare cloudy days when its only 90 degrees at 8AM we've been outside playing in the back yard!

We're learning a lot of new skills. Drinking out of cup has been a new adventure as we soak ourselves with each tilt of the cup but we are getting to be so big we won't need sippys for long! We're learning how to drink out of a straw too!

This morning's quick trip to the park. Even at 9am you can tell we're sweaty and hot. Great fun to be out doors, just wish Daddy could be with us. Instead, he's working Saturdays. We sure do miss Daddy! But most Sundays are BOYS days cause Mommy works on Sundays so it evens out in the end!

During the week, we as a family decided to enroll the kids in a Christian school. I guess you could call it a daycare, but we are choosing to think of it differently. We will start at the end of the month. We sure will miss Ms. Natascha but decisions had to be made and this was one Mommy and Daddy debated for hours. Mommy will hopefully be quitting her second job soon. She has enrolled in school herself. Its a short study but she will be able to go in to the operating room with her boss on every surgery AND get paid for it after she's done. She LOVES the OR so she is super excited about it. With that being said, her Thursdays off will be spent studying for a few months!

Daddy's job is going well. They have been super busy which is good for the business, bad for the family. But, with the economy the way it is, we accept Daddy working long hours/weeks and very thankful he has a great job that he thoroughly enjoys.

We had so much fun today at the splash pad in our city. We knew nothing about it until Mom took us to a playdate with friends and they were talking about it. Sooo much fun! Mom and Dad both had off today so it was family day at the Madjid household. Nothing like spending it outdoors sweating and getting wet! Good times!

Summer is in full swing at the Madjid household. We love it. It's been too hot the last few days, but we sure do love getting outside and playing in the pool.

We are growing bigger and stronger and developing. We are long and lean and weigh 28lbs! Some of us a little longer than others (Ethan is an inch shorter than brother). We have a few new words on our list. We currently say: ball, puppy, dog, mama, dada, grandpa, grandma, light, bye-bye, bravo, banana, and probably some more that Mom and Dad can't quite understand yet.

Kian held hands with his first girl the other day. We were out shopping with Mom at a uniform shop and a little girl who was 2 years old came up and tried to hold Kian's hand. Kian wanted NOTHING to do with the little girl and pushed her away! Very funny to watch!

We took a long vacation to the cabin in MN. The drive was long, but the boys did wonderful in the car. We stopped at McDonalds on the way there for a quick snack. Kian went to visit Ronald!

A very busy but very fun Memorial Day weekend with family. We went to Omaha to visit Auntie Buffy, Uncle Steve and cousins Maris and Tiffany.

We went to the Tulsa zoo on Thursday before we left but this zoo in Omaha doesn't even compare. It's AWESOME!! We spent some time petting the goats and LOVING it!

Introducing... Ms. Natascha
We pulled the kids from daycare due to illness and Mom's uncomfortableness with it. Nothing happened, Mom just had that uneasy feeling about it. So, we are now at home with a Nanny. Natascha moved here in December from Germany with her US soldier husband. They have 2 younger kids both in school ages 5 and 7. She lives less than couple blocks from our house.

She is FABULOUS so far. She is working with us, does what we want her to do and more. Ethan HATED shoes, but Natascha was able to get him to wear them without a problem and he even boasted to Mom when she got in the door about his "big boy shoes".

Natascha has started us on our 1 nap transition and so far, so good.

Natascha has cared for our sick boys (fevers of 104) when normally we would have had to take off work. Bless her!

Natascha cleans up after the boys, and the house looks even better than when Mom leaves in the morning. No, she doesn't do house work, but its not hard to keep a clean house when you have someone picking up after the boys.

We feel very blessed that Natascha came in to our lives at this time. She has been wonderful. Its a scary transition for someone to come in to your house that you don't know, but its worked out great so far. We pray everyday that things continue to go well.

WE LOVE SUMMER!! Can't wait to spend more time outside. Just wish Daddy could have weekends off with us!

Roses for Mommy on Mother's Day!

We picked our own roses to give Mommy on Mother's Day (of course with Daddy's help!). Mommy was sure surprised. As icky as Kian feels he sure can put a smile on Mommy's face all the time!

We've been back to the doctor with poor Kian for his ears and they are really infected. He's on another round of antibiotics and the doctor even suggested tubes. So, as much as we are trying to avoid them and the cost of a minor surgery, it seems inevitable. Mom and Dad have even been interviewing nannies so that we don't have to go to daycare and be exposed to all those nasty bugs and germs but they believe the time has come. Yes, being preemies predisposes us to nasty ear infections. Mom and Dad are hoping that with fixing Kian's ears his speech will rapidly pick up too. So, off to the ENT doctor. (Good thing Mom just dropped us from her medical insurance...not so much!). Kian has been a trooper through these past couple weeks.

Hello! We've been pretty sickly lately. Of course, it's to be expected since its our first few weeks of daycare. Lots of changes around the Madjid household. It's warmer outside so we're getting out and about more often. We're even talking about getting the pool out so we can swim on the nice warm days.

We're enrolled in a day care center and we started this week. We've met lots of new friends and our teachers are great. They even fought over who's class we'd be in cause they thought we were too cute!! We're learning a lot of new things so its a much needed change and we're excited.

Mom is adding on some more hours at work and she's been assigned to some special projects. She's enjoying her job every day so she welcomed the added responsibilities.

Dad has been on jury duty for the last 3 weeks. He's a juror on a trial and been away from work for forever. Hopefully it should wrap up this week, but we're not gonna lie, we like Daddy being home to play with us in the early evenings. He's home during dinner instead of after going to bed. Can he be a permanent juror??

A happy, sunny, beautiful Easter day and we spent it as a family! It's been a while, so it feels good to be all together.

We're playing outside in our water/sand box that Uncle Jeremy got us for our birthday. We've been itching to use it, but Dad said we had to wait until it got nice outside.

All dressed up and finally...somewhere to go! Mom and Dad took us out for the FIRST time (by themselves) to go out to eat. We had some yummy Mexican food and we behaved like ANGELS! Mom and Dad were so proud of us.

We went over to some friends house for an afternoon. Ethan loved sliding!

It's true, another month has flown by and we have learned A LOT of things in the past few days. We've been super good in behavior since Mom and Dad have been feeling under the weather the past few days. But in that time where we have been 'good', we've been able to explore and get in to trouble too. A few things we've learned...

How to climb IN the toy box for our favorite toys...

And how to put on that sneaky grin so I don't get in trouble!

I've learned that if I always give my 'innocent' face, I get away with a lot... I tend to blame it all on my brother!

I've learned that George is my favorite stuffed animal and its more fun if Mom and Dad have to pick him up off the floor a million times a day rather than being in my crib.

We've learned how to share, and read a book together (for 10 seconds) before we scream at each other.

We've (Kian has) learned how to climb up on the couch without any assistance and jump on the couch.

And best yet...Ethan has learned how to WALK!!! Yes, his first few steps on camera for his walking debut! Yay for Ethan!!

Our postings have been bleak that last few weeks, we know. We've been cooped up in the house with horrendous colds just to end up with both of us having double ear infections! Yuck! But, 48hours on antibiotics and we are new boys again! Ready to go out and enjoy the sunshine.

We went to the park today to celebrate a birthday with a friend and also hang out as a family.

Daddy did bath time on Sunday night and we sure did have a lot of fun! Splish-splashin' is our favorite time of the day and now bubbles... WE CAN'T WAIT TO GET BACK IN THE TUB!!

We've arrived home from our GREAT trip out West. Our very first trip to California. Again, we were not so wonderful companions on the plane, however, Mom did get her first compliment from the man behind her from the very last lag of the flight. He said to the flight attendant that he didn't even know there was a baby sitting ahead of him, let alone 2 babies! Mom and Dad did there share of covering E & K's mouths when they were about to scream!

We have great memories from our trip to Cali and we want to share some of them with you.

We had a great time. It is great to be back home and on our regular schedule. Ethan has been quickly catching up to his brother in all his gross motor movements. He even has been standing up for himself and not letting Kian push him around. Mom is trying to catch some of their wrestling matches on video so we can post them...pretty darn cute!!

13 months old!

We are 13 months old today! Another milestone! We visited the doc for our 1 year check up. He said that as far as he's concerned, we're all caught up! We're doing things as expected for other kids our age. We technically have until we're 2 years old to get caught up, but we're well on our way to perfection! By the way, Kian has finally caught up on his weight to Ethan. They weigh about the same.

Here's a general update...

Eating- Ethan eats everything! Kian hates mushy stuff. If it has toast consistency, then Kian will eat it. We struggle daily to get Kian to eat his vegetables. We're drinking whole cow's milk out of a sippy cup.

Sleeping- We're still taking 2 naps per day. Around 9AM and 1PM. Sometimes we talk through the whole thing, but at least Mom & Dad still get an hour of sanity time while we hang out in our cribs! We sleep from 6:30-7pm-ish til 6:00AM.

Moving- Ethan finally decided he would crawl full-time. He'd been army crawling since September. Both are pulling up and cruising. Kian even gets gutsy and let's go for a few seconds before he plops to the floor. Mom's guess is that Kian will be walking by Valentine's Day.

We've already discussed how we're going to gather treats for his reindeer...Kian will save all his carrots that he usually just throws on the floor or hides in his bib and we'll put them out so Rudolph can find his way to our house. Dad told us if we switched to whole milk from formula and drank from our sippy cups instead of bottles, he would help Santa find his way to the Madjid house. So- deal is a deal and we're DONE with bottles and formula- no questions asked- no fits thrown- all in less than 48hours.

What a difference one year makes. Can you believe at 2:29pm December 12, 2008, Kian Peter was born weighing 2lb 6oz and clinging to life?At 2:30pm Ethan Lawrence was born weighing 2lbs 7oz. An amazing year!

We have A LOT to be thankful for and remembered that as we stuffed our faces with our birthday cake today. Never in a million years did we expect to be doing some of the things we can do today. We remember Ryan Antonio today too, missing him, but know he's in a good place!

We've figured out what those beautiful packages with pretty bows are under that prickly green tree. Although we're being good so far and haven't opened any of the packages, we have pushed them around the house and sat on them and even plotted together to get the bow un-tied. We spend many minutes playing with these packages when Mom is busy picking up or preparing our lunch. Shhhh...don't tell her! By the way...IT'S ONE WEEK BEFORE OUR 1ST BIRTHDAY!!!!

A very happy Thanksgiving as we gave thanks to ALL we are thankful for. We sure do have a lot! We celebrated the holiday with Uncle Steve, Auntie Buffy and our cousins from Nebraska. We enjoyed every minute of it. Once all the festivities were over, we decorated our Christmas tree with Mom and Dad. Here we are before placing the star on top of the tree.

We went to the park with cousins' Maris & Tiffany. It's our very first time to be in a swing. We did enjoy it for a bit, but it was pretty cold and windy so it's hard to smile.

The sound of little squeals has never been such a welcomed sound in our house. It's been a long 2 weeks of really ill children which resulted in worry, long days and nights, multiple doctors appointments and even a trip to the ER for dehydration. But, we think this illness is finally leaving us and Kian is slowly returning to his normal hyper self. Mom even enjoyed seeing him steal a toy away from Ethan this morning. It meant her Kiki was back!!

11 months old!

Yes, we've hit 11months old already. We're all ready for the big O-N-E! We've been pretty ill the past 2 weeks and have been back and forth to the doctor's office multiple times. But, we're both now on antibiotics, probiotics and Mom & Dad's last nerve, but hopefully we're on the mend and will be back to healthy for the Thanksgiving holiday. It's kinda been fun...we've had "boys day" on several occasions because Dad has had to stay home with sick boys but we'd rather spend time with Daddy on better terms. Maybe next time he'll take us to the zoo??!!

Mom attempted to give me my 1st haircut because people had been commenting on my poofy-hair. Yes, it's a good thing mommy is more into science than arts because my haircut takes some imagination when trying to see her style. But, she cut and styled with some gel all while I was shaking my head back and forth eating some yummy Cheerios. Of course, this picture was taken just before she took her first cut...

Halloween day we went to Mommy & Daddy's alma mater- TU - for their homecoming. We had a great time. We got to see a live band, a football game, and meet lots of new people. We were dressed from head to toe in TU gear. It was a beautiful day in the 70's so a great day to be out and about.

Ms. Lonnie (mommy's RN friend) gave us cute Halloween outfits which we sported the day before Halloween. A pumpkin and a ghost.

And finally, our Halloween costumes that we went trick-or-treating in. We had so much fun. Mom & Dad didn't allow us to collect any candy but they promised us we could next year!

Always rewarding to come home from work and be greeted by her beautiful boys. It can put a smile on any body's face to have this much love in their lives!

Since we are such hard feeders, Mom is attempting to get us started on sippy cups so we can feed ourselves. We don't like the cups to drink out of as much as we like to chew on them.

FINALLY...Ethan is showing signs of his eagerness to move. Last week he started creeping on all fours and moving around.

For all those video lovers out there... here's a video of the two playing together (in their own little way). If you can't tell, Kian LOVES bath time and I would guess he's telling Ethan to get the heck out of the tub.

We went to the pumpkin patch! Our favorite babysitter took us to the pumpkin patch and we even got to pick out our own little pumpkin to take home. Mom & Dad promised us we could carve a pumpkin this Halloween. We've only got a few nights left and so far our pumpkins have no faces!

We tried it, and we won't again for a long time. It was a horrendous adventure attempting to fly with 2 little ones and 2 adults. We were that couple that everyone HATES to sit by on the airplane. We're home, safe and sound just in time for Daddy to leave for a week on a business trip.

We're 10 months old!

Another month older and wiser! We've master the word "dadadadadadada" this month. Daddy thinks we're always calling his name, but we're not. Kian is crawling around the house so fast Mom & Dad only see the dust behind him. We've also managed to have our very first ear infection and have been to the doctor more times this past week than we've ever been in our lives. But, we're on the mend and we'll be healthy in no time, only to contract another cold virus again. Our plan is to stay far away from that big bad flu bug too.

Amazing...time has flown by. We say that every month as we hit milestones, but really, it has. Mom and Dad were talking the other night and we over heard them say, "wow...we never thought we'd be doing this well this early". And boy, have we surprised them!!

We had our 9 month check up with the doctor the other day. We have grown a lot! Let's start with me, KIAN, the oldest child (yes, only by a minute but nonetheless, the OLDEST)!

I weigh 19lbs 13oz. I went from the 13%tile at 6mo to the 36.5%tile at 9mo in the weight category. I am 28.07inches long in the 41%tile for my age up from 18%tile at 6mo. Please remember that at our 1st well-child check I was in the less than 0.03%tile. Yay me!! I am rolling and I even took my first coordinated crawls the last few days. I really am too lazy to sit straight up, but I do sit- leaning on my arm sometimes. I'm eating some baby foods with oatmeal but I'm not a big fan of the 'sitting in my highchair' time. I like to be out and moving not sitting still. I'm talking what Dad would say "jibberish" but really, I just tell them what I think- they choose not to listen. I do still have a small problem with my reflux (bad bad heartburn) but Mom took me to the doctor about a month ago and changed my medicine so I am feeling better. I really wish I could play more with my brother. I try to come over and take his toys all the time, but all he does is squeal and cry for Mom so Mom tells me to leave him alone.

ETHAN's turn!

I weigh 21lbs 8oz and am in the 64.5%tile up from 29%tile at 6mo. Yes, they do call me fatty! Believe it or not, I've even stretched out a little. I'm 27.75inches long- in the 30%tile up from the 6%tile in June. Hard to believe again, I was in the less than 3%tile. I'm a Momma's boy. I like to play independently without my brother and yell at him when he comes over to steal my toys or touch me. I'm not even close to crawling, but I do play 'superman' when I am on my belly. I eat the same as my brother and LOVE my gerber's puffs. I do talk, not as often, but in spurts.

All in all it's been a wonderful 9months. We look forward to sharing more milestones with you. Thanks MN for an awesome trip and CA, we're planning a get-a-way hopefully very soon!

We've returned home after a long trip to Minnesota to see family and friends. Surprisingly, we all tolerated the 12+hour ride pretty well. It was a jam packed week of events including an open house for family and friends to meet the Madjids and a friend's wedding. We even had the opportunity to hang out at the cabin for Labor Day weekend.

We apologize for the untimely update. It just seems that Mom & Dad have been so busy lately. Where bedtime used to be a family affair, now it seems as though Mom or Dad are doing it alone. Since our bedtime is usually around 6:00pm, Dad is not off work yet to help Mom and Mom has been working a lot at the hospital on Dad's days off so she doesn't get home til 7:30-8pm. Nonetheless, we are GREAT sleepers! There have been some consecutive nights where both of us have slept through the night. A FULL 12 HOURS!! YAYYYY! Mom thought that night would never come. Of course, we've had some minor set backs (like bad colds & leaky diapers) but all in all- we're sleeping well!

Kian's crawl is progressing, very slowly, but surely. When he gets tired of being up on all fours, he'll sit on his hip, braced up by his hand, and rest. Here's an action shot of what this looks like in mid-rest before his hip hits the ground.

Otherwise, it's happy Kian exploring the new world and his favorite thing to do is play the drums on the wood floor. He loves the noise it makes!

Ethan is slow to move, but is now rolling. He's been scooting back lately while on his tummy, mainly just so he can get away from Kian. He HATES his brother touching him or being anywhere near him. So funny!

If Mom has ever wondered what was under her couch, wonder no more. Ethan LOVES to stick his arm under the couch and pull out all those dust bunnies mom's broom didn't catch. He thinks he's doing his part to help clean???

8 Months old!!

We're 8 months old!

It's crazy, we've come so far, yet have so much life left!! Let's see...our accomplishments this month....

Sleeping-
Ethan is consistently sleeping through the night from 6-7pm to 6-7am. It's wonderful! Kian is still getting up once sometime in the middle of the night. It's never a consistent time. He eats and goes right back to bed. Still sleeping on the same schedule as brother 6-6am. Our naps are horrendous. We try 2x's per day around 9am & 1pm. We cry the entire nap time!

Eating-
We're both eating baby food 2x's per day oatmeal with our fruits and vegetables. We've introduced the baby food meats and Kian will eat them, Ethan will absolutely NOT! We're on preemie formula- no more breast milk. (Mom is very thankful!)

Development-
No teeth for either one. We're not sitting up yet, although that's coming. Ethan is just starting to roll back to tummy. Mom & Dad haven't seen him, but have found him on his tummy. Kian is rolling to get places and starting to rock & creep on all fours. Crawling in no time!! Kian is constantly moving, jumping, rolling.

We're enjoying life. We recognize Mom & Dad and don't have stranger danger yet! We are starting to notice the silly puppy (Zio) and love watching him chase his tail. Mom & Dad are doing well too. Loving their boys more and more everyday. They are very busy and miss sleeping in past 6AM but wouldn't trade it for the world. We're each thankful for our jobs but miss spending quality time together. Miss u all! Minnesota people...We'll see u in 3 weeks!

Grandma came to town again to give Mom and Dad a break. She was there for a short week, but a much needed break! Mom was able to get some things done on her days off without toting us around and disturbing our nap time and it taking forever. Mom has not been too gutsy...she doesn't like to take us places. We've been to the grocery store one time and Target once. Otherwise, we stay at home, go to the babysitters, or doctors appointments.

Grandma is trying to convert us to MN Twins fans! Dad didn't have good things to say about that!! However, the outfits are cute, don't you think??

We're looking more and more grown up every day. We are looking less alike, at least that's what Mom & Dad say. We definitely have our own personalities. We are as opposite as night and day...just wait til you meet us!!

Ethan is working on rolling over. Mom & Dad have found him tummy side down in the mornings but he has stage fright and won't do it with an audience. You just have to catch him in the act and that hasn't happened yet!!

A perfect Sunday afternoon gave us a chance to hang out with Mom & Dad in the backyard in the pool. This was our first experience in the pool and it took a little time getting used to sitting in water. Ethan sat and played with his rubber ducky while Kian splish-splashed everybody including his brother!
